THE BENEFITS OF ENGINEERED HARDWOOD PLANKS
Engineered hardwood planks have revolutionized the usage of timber flooring. They are far more stable than solid planks and so less likely to bow, warp or otherwise move with changes in temperature or humidity. They often have a deep enough hardwood top layer to allow a badly worn floor to be re-sanded, although modern finishes make them generally far more hard-wearing with greater scratch- and stain-resistance: good prefinished timber will be resistant to staining from wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices and milk, making them suitable for use in restaurants, bars and cafes. Of course, some engineered boards are better than others, and the ones you'll find at Havwoods are amongst the very, very best; but if you still think your application is too tough for timber, look at Plusfloor - it combines all the traditional wear advantages of a vinyl floor with the speed and ease of fitment of an engineered board.
