Probably the very best 20mm engineered hardwood timber in the world, Venture Plank is a multi-layered board with a 6mm wear layer of European oak, ensuring that it may be sanded and re-finished several times and so making it suitable for situations ranging from a residential environment to heavy duty applications like these busy restaurants; it's also suitable for use over underfloor heating*.
Whilst other boards are manufactured - Venture Plank boards are crafted: at every single stage of the process the care and attention to detail is exceptional. For example, the moisture content is extremely well controlled and balanced between the upper and base layers; the filler is particularly hard and won't dig out; and machining standards are, quite simply, second to none, making installation extremely easy.
Oiled boards receive two layers of Osmo Hardwax oil, UV dried, making them highly scratch- and moisture-resistant; uniquely this may be lacquered if required giving you the best of all possible worlds - the richness and detail of the colour and grain brought out by the oiling process then sealed with a lacquer for the ultimate tough finish.
